Puffy®, the adorable mascot of The Woodlands, was on the move as he joined elementary students to celebrate National Walk and Bike to School Month. Puffy has been involved in many walks throughout the years, including Bush Elementary in the Village of Alden Bridge. This year, Puffy visited Sally K. Ride Elementary in the Village of Panther Creek as well as Creekside Forest Elementary in the Village of Creekside Park. Puffy was a friendly and welcoming sight as children walked and biked their way to school among the many hike-and-bike trails. Parents participated in the observation too.

Many of the trails leading up to the schools had encouraging messages and whimsical art drawn with colorful chalk.

Recognized annually in October, National Walk and Bike to School has been celebrated for 11 years in the United States with The Woodlands hosting a weeklong celebration in the community.
