Meet Cochran’s Crossing Villager Betty McPherson Daugherty. Betty is 71 years young, never met a stranger, is passionate about the arts and politics and is the consummate volunteer.

When and from where did you move to The Woodlands?
From Jackson, Mississippi in 2016.

Favorite band or solo rocker from your teen years?
The Beatles.

Favorite local nature spot?
The Woodlands Waterway. I love riding the trolley to the library with my grandchildren and seeing the beautiful Waterway through the window. 

Name two films and/or television series in your streaming queue?
Frankie and Grace; The Crown.

Favorite dish from a local restaurant?
Bruschetta appetizer at Crush (I love all their appetizers!).

You win airline tickets to any destination. Where would you travel?
Washington D.C.  I love walking around in large cities.  

Favorite local store?
Soft Surroundings in The Woodlands Mall.

Something not everyone knows about you?
Been involved in the professional theatre world in all facets— acting, directing, producing, etc. 

Favorite area event?
The Houston Ballet at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion.

What is on your bucket list?
Produce, direct, write and star in my own one woman show!
