David is a CrossFit enthusiast, while Kristin enjoys running and is a regularly practicing yogini. They know Nekter’s concept for healthy eating aligns with their community’s mindset for living well.

The idea was born from wanting a great post-workout boost near where Kristin practices yoga. Inspired by her own desire to grab a healthy treat to complement her workout is the reason the couple decided to open a Nekter Juice bar.  “After talking with fellow yogis, I learned they shared the same desire for a healthy way to refuel” said Kristin.

Promoting visibility and transparency of ingredients is integral to the Nekter philosophy of healthy living. They are focused on addressing challenges for those sensitive to food restrictions, the couple informed. They offer a cashew-based smoothies and offer menu items providing anti-inflammatory properties and a variety of wellness shots to provide an additional health boost.

The Herrings searched to find the perfect location with the right demographics for their new venture. As eight-year residents of The Woodlands, they recognized it was a tremendous opportunity to open something nearby that can be part of the community where they live. “There is a demand for health activities in our community from residents who want corresponding nutritional options,” offered Kristin. She considers herself the target audience, and Nekter’s products meet her needs. As luck would have it, a place opened up in Creekside Park West. Being co-located with so many other health-conscious businesses made the location even more attractive. “It is exciting and fortuitous that it is happening just as we envisioned,” mentioned David.

For those who like to grab and go, they can order ahead with Nekter’s easy to use app, featuring a membership rewards program. Customers can order ahead and pick up lunch or something quick on their way to work or sports. It’s also a great after-school treat. “We offer a quick, healthy solution that’s a better option instead of fast food,” added David.
