The Howard Hughes Corporation has presented this free, family-friendly Independence Eve tradition for over 30 years.
The community is invited to kick off America’s birthday celebration at the Star-Spangled Salute as the Houston Symphony takes the Main Stage of The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion on Sunday, July 3 at 8 PM.
The Houston Symphony will perform a selection of Americana favorites led by conductor Steven Reineke, whose boundless enthusiasm and exceptional artistry have made him one of the nation’s most sought-after pops conductors, composers and arrangers.
Presented by The Howard Hughes Corporation since 1990, this free Independence Eve spectacular has been a tradition at The Pavilion for over 30 seasons. The event is completely free, and tickets are not required for entry.
Gates open at 6:30 PM with free pre-concert activities such as patriotic souvenir giveaways, photo opportunities with characters, arts and crafts and more!
“We invite everyone to come out and enjoy this family-friendly celebration to get into the patriotic spirit,” said Jim Carman, President of the Houston Region for The Howard Hughes Corporation. “The Star Spangled Salute has been a popular attraction for The Woodlands community. The Howard Hughes Corporation has been honored to present this longstanding tradition since its inception over the last three decades.”
Lawn chairs for those sitting on the hill will be provided free of charge.
