Senior Year Shopping Savvy — Fall Fashion Fun at KB Kasuals

“We’re seeing a lot more solids this year like Joe’s Jeans or denim skirts paired with a simple shirt and then adding color pops with differentiator accessories like fabric headbands or large statement earrings,” explains Krista.

It’s “Back to School” shopping for incoming high school seniors like Carla Williams and Elena Khan who live in The Woodlands. Today, they stopped by the beautiful KB Kasuals store at Hughes Landing.

KB Kasuals offers contemporary designer clothing for women, young children and babies. From accessories from local artists like Sofia and emerging clothing designers like Lola & Sophie and Sundry, KB has something special for every shopper.

The owner of the store, Krista Burks, is a native Houstonian who has always had a passion for fashion and has lived and traveled near and far to gather fashion ideas to make KB Kasuals a one of a kind boutique. In 2012, she opened her first store in River Oaks in Houston, and only three years later opened her store in Hughes Landing in The Woodlands. Her eclectic luxe eye has made KB the go-to store for some of The Woodlands’ best dressed young girls and most fashionable women.

“We’re seeing a lot more solids this year like Joe’s Jeans or denim skirts paried with a simple shirt and then adding color pops with differentiator accessories like fabric headbands or large statement earrings,” explains Krista.

Clothing is thoughtfully displayed on traditional hanging racks, a large black velvet ottoman and a variety of antique tables. Soft lacy camisoles hang from a ladder-like structure by the shoe display, while a rhinestone cow skull competes for attention across from the dazzling chandelier ceiling centerpiece. Myriad one-of-a-kind earrings fill the check-out counter glass case.

“I like coming to Hughes Landing to shop as it’s nice to walk outdoors between stops and take some selfies in front of the myriad colorful public art works,” smiles Elena.

The store is nestled between Venetian Nail Spa and L’Atelier de Beaute, near Starbucks.

“There is a nice variety of shops here,” explains Carla. “After we shop, we pick a place on Restaurant Row to have lunch at and talk about our purchases!”

KB Kasuals is proud to be a part of Memorial Hermann’s “In the Pink” annual fundraising fall luncheon and welcomes all Woodlands area teens to their store for “Back to School” shopping!
