The highlight of May Valley is the nine-acre May Valley Park, located on a heavily wooded site with a stream running through it. Amenities include a "Pioneer-themed" sprayground, pavilion, tennis and basketball courts, a playground, picnic area, stream crossings and pathways.

May Valley is also located near several other parks and pools in The Woodlands’ Village of Sterling Ridge. These include Cranebrook Park, with a pool and interactive aquatic play structure, and Terramont Park, a 16-acre, “wheel friendly” area with hills, playfields, tennis and basketball courts, and an expansive playground. Sterling Ridge is also home to a branch of the South Montgomery County YMCA, located at 8100 Ashlane Way.
