What’s blue, red, yellow and pink all over? The Woodlands as it blossoms with multi-colored wildflowers. The Woodlands is proud of its tradition of planting wildflowers. Here’s some interesting facts about the natural beauties.

  • Bluebonnets are the Texas state flower.
  • The Pink Evening Primrose blooms between April and June and gets a new blossom every day.
  • Indian Blankets bloom from April to June in Texas. Together, their red, yellow and orange colors look like a blanket.
  • There are about 19 varieties of sunflowers in the Lone Star state.
  • Each year, The Woodlands sows about 1,000 pounds of wildflowers throughout the community.
