The Howard Hughes Corporation Honored with 2018 PRISM Awards

by The Woodlands

Recently at the Greater Houston Builders Association’s annual gala, two properties from The Howard Hughes Corporation were recipients of several coveted PRISM awards. The distinguished award honors excellence in the homebuilding industry within the Greater Houston area. Both Bridgeland and The Woodlands received accolades at this annual event, reflecting the masterful design of these innovative communities.

Recognized for being a trendsetter among master planned communities in the Greater Houston area — and the nation — The Howard Hughes Corporation received the prestigious Trailblazer Award for The Woodlands. The community was also awarded Best Community Entrance for creatively incorporating bronze deer sculptures with their monument entry signage.

The Best Model Home Park was awarded to Bridgeland for its concept of showcasing model homes in a centralized position within Parkland Village, the community’s newest village. By keeping the homes within walking distance of each other, instead of scattering model homes throughout the village, suggests a more connected and neighborly feel for the community.

Both The Woodlands and Bridgeland properties won an additional award, Best Direct Mail Piece, for their shared marketing strategy. In addition, they were also finalists in Landscape Design of the Year and Marketing Professional of the Year. The Woodland Hills, the newest master planned community from the Howard Hughes Corporation, was a finalist in the Website of the Year category.

The Realtor Team of the Year award was won by Tamborrel Properties. Located in The Woodlands, the real estate firm sells in all three Houston-area communities: The Woodlands, Bridgeland and The Woodland Hills.
Receiving the industry awards is a notable achievement, as recipients are judged by a panel of national, industry experts.

By imagining what could be in residential development, The Howard Hughes Corporation is creating a culture within master planned communities dedicated to designing with a sustainable approach and revolving around living well with nature. Providing top-notch amenities and community events for these and other master planned communities, the organization continues to see year-over-year sales growth. Receiving PRISM awards for two of its Houston-area properties honors the organization’s guiding principles of thoughtfully and creatively striving for excellence.
