The Woodlands Ranks as One of the Best Cities to Live in Texas & #7 in America

by The Woodlands

The Woodlands ranks as the #7 "Best City to Live in America”. The Woodlands took the top marking for the Greater Houston area and #2 for Texas in 2018 by Niche. Check out the Houston Chronicle’s complete article here.

The Woodlands chalked up A+ marks for the Niche and public school grades.  Only four additional Texas cities made the top 25 list.

"Naturally, we are very pleased that The Woodlands has been recognized. In reality, it is a testimonial to all of the people. It is about the moms/dads/kids/employees and employers who animate the infrastructure and homes/offices/places of worship/schools/hospitals/retail shopping and more,” said Paul Layne, President – Central Region for The Howard Hughes Corporation®. "Visitors are always welcome to come and discover this unique community.”

The Niche study factors in quality of life, cost of living, commute times, and school quality in developing the criteria. The Woodlands was also ranked among the "Best Cities to Live” in 2017.

Perhaps it’s the 28,000 forested acres. Or could it be the short distance to work with 2,138 employers in the community? Maybe it’s the 146 parks or the 214 miles of nature trails. Could it be the 200+ restaurants or upscale shopping experiences? Three highly regarded school districts for our children’s education?  Regardless of the live, work or discover reasoning, we are proud of The Woodlands!
